Huawei Cloud Launches Innovative Cloud Solutions at MWC 2025
The Huawei Cloud Summit, held on March 2 in Barcelona, concluded successfully under the theme "Accelerate Intelligence, Amplify Success." This event showcased Huawei Cloud's commitment to revolutionizing various industries through advanced cloud solutions tailored to support intelligent transformations.
In an era defined by the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into everyday operations, Huawei Cloud stands at the forefront, championing a shift from "cloud-specific" to "AI-specific" solutions. Jacqueline Shi, the President of Huawei Cloud Global Marketing and Sales Service, emphasized that Huawei Cloud has made AI a central strategic priority. This transition aims to champion continuous innovation in the sector.
According to Shi, Huawei Cloud identifies AI specialization in two key domains. The first is "AI for Cloud," which involves reshaping all Huawei Cloud services using AI technology to enhance their intelligence. The second domain focuses on creating the optimal platform to accelerate AI development, which includes computational architectures, data strategies, model tools, and professional services—dubbed "Cloud for AI."
Continuing the trend of significant growth, Huawei Cloud experienced over 50% increase in overseas markets during the past year, establishing partnerships with more than 140 operators and over 500 financial institutions. Shi reiterated the company’s commitment to enhancing cloud services and solutions to meet diverse customer needs across all sectors, effectively aiding businesses in accelerating their intelligence. Their new connection solutions empower operators to integrate more applications to support both consumer and enterprise markets.
Furthermore, Huawei Cloud facilitates the transition of governments toward smart governance through e-government and digital services. Their Pangu government model, aPaaS, and big data services enable better citizen services. In finance, Huawei's Digital Core solution modernizes applications by replacing mainframe systems, while its financial big data solutions and Pangu financial model support intelligent customer service and insightful data analyses.
The Media and Entertainment sector benefits from Huawei Cloud's intelligent interaction solutions for content generation and user engagement, which includes CDN Cloud Live, Cloud Media Edge, and MetaStudio. Retailers are supported in establishing smart stores with real-time data insights, intelligent order forecasting, and digital store assistants. Additionally, in the automotive sector, Huawei Cloud not only delivers leading smart IoV and autonomous driving solutions but also helps customers achieve better R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain management through intelligent production solutions.
Bruno Zhang, CTO of Huawei Cloud, echoed this strategic shift, asserting that transitioning to "AI-specific" solutions fundamentally relies on establishing a robust base of "cloud-specific" technologies. Over the past few years, Huawei Cloud has prioritized assisting enterprises in effectively migrating to the cloud, utilizing, and managing cloud-based tools. Building on this foundation, Huawei Cloud is now advancing toward new phases, developing AI-specific cloud services, including CloudMatrix and AI Cloud Service, to help clients and partners better train and utilize AI models.
At MWC 2025, Huawei Cloud introduced an array of cloud solutions aimed at accelerating this evolution from "cloud-specific" to "AI-specific" approaches. Some of these offerings include the CloudDC Solution, Enterprise IT Cloud Transition Solution, Backup and Recovery Continuity Center Solution, and various security and operational enhancements like the Big Model Security Solution and ransomware protection strategies.
Notably, last year, Huawei Cloud significantly supported numerous high-profile clients in achieving sustainable business success through innovative solutions. Iñaki Fuentes, COO of TravelgateX, shared insights on how they utilized Huawei Cloud’s "cloud-specific" technologies to enhance global travel services, achieving significant performance improvements and cost savings.
Meanwhile, Fajrin Rasyid, the Chief Digital Innovation Officer at Telkom Indonesia, reported on their collaboration with Huawei to evolve into a digital operator capable of fostering a growing digital ecosystem in Indonesia. Lastly, Hepsiburada’s IT Head, Mustafa Kemal Erișen, highlighted impressive advancements after migrating their search services to Huawei Cloud, reporting augmented platform efficiency and significant reductions in response time and bandwidth usage.
During the summit, Huawei Cloud, together with its partners, unveiled over 20 joint solutions aimed at accelerating digital transformation across industries such as finance, automotive, retail, media, and public services. Furthermore, they hosted a roundtable meeting under the theme "Accelerate Data-AI Convergence, Acquire Distinctive AI Capabilities." Visionary leaders gathered to explore the structural foundations needed for robust data in the AI age and shared best practices to unlock data value and build differentiated strengths.
