Revolutionizing Solar Energy: AIKO's ABC Module Launch at WFES 2026
AIKO's Groundbreaking Launch at WFES 2026
The 18th World Future Energy Summit & Exhibition (WFES) in Abu Dhabi was a remarkable showcase for the photovoltaic industry, where AIKO presented its innovative ABC module portfolio. This event highlighted AIKO's commitment to creating new solar value through advanced technology. Amid the Middle East's unique climate dynamics, AIKO's modules are designed to operate efficiently in extreme temperatures and conditions, marking a significant achievement for the solar energy sector.
In an environment characterized by year-round high irradiance and summer temperatures soaring up to 50°C, solar technology faces strict performance challenges. AIKO's ABC modules stand out with a superior temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, which effectively mitigates power degradation due to excessive heat. This feature, combined with partial shading optimization and robust high-temperature suppression capabilities, ensures that energy output remains consistent, despite the lurking threat of hot spots from shading.
Innovative Technology for Enhanced Performance
At WFES 2026, AIKO exhibited a full range of ABC Infinite modules available in 54, 60, and 72-cell sizes. The innovative Infinite technology empowers users by maximizing their solar capture capability, allowing for a distinctive aesthetic with a sleek black surface while achieving mass production efficiencies exceeding 25%. Impressively, the 72-cell variant boasts an increased effective power generation area of 1.6%, which translates to power outputs reaching 680W to 685W—significantly eclipsing the performance of traditional TOPCon modules.
Moreover, AIKO emphasizes safety alongside performance, enhancing the glass thickness of its modules by 60% compared to existing options in the market. This improvement not only fortifies the modules against potential micro-cracks but also enhances their operational reliability, minimizing risks associated with partial shading. The ABC modules' fire-resistant characteristics have further earned them the distinction of being the first in the world to obtain TÜV Rheinland's module-level fire risk prevention certification.
Addressing Practical Challenges in the Industry
AIKO is not only committed to advancing module efficiency but is also keen on addressing operational challenges that solar power plants face, especially concerning dust accumulation. Introducing their Anti-dust product, AIKO leverages a patented design that minimizes dust lodging and enhances the self-cleaning capabilities of solar installations. This innovation provides several advantages, including reduced operational maintenance (OM) due to less dust build-up, higher reliability by eliminating shading risks, and up to 2% additional energy generation.
Demonstrating the efficiency of these technologies, on-site tests showcased AIKO's advantages in high-temperature suppression and micro-crack resistance, reinforcing the company’s reputation for academic rigor and quality in technology deployment.
