Taiwan Weeks 2026: A Global Financial Gathering in Taiwan
Taiwan is set to host the much-anticipated Taiwan Weeks 2026 from November 3 to 13, marking a significant event for the global financial community. This event is poised to draw international attention as it gathers a diverse array of asset managers, exchange leaders, and institutional investors. The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), in collaboration with the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), is driving this initiative to establish Taiwan as a central hub for asset management in Asia.
Strengthening Financial Links
The overarching theme for this year’s event is "From Tech Island to Financial Hub," highlighting Taiwan’s impressive strides in both technology and finance. According to Dr. Jin-lung Peng, Chairman of the FSC, Taiwan Weeks 2026 will focus on showcasing the country’s strengths in technology, financial markets, and its expanding role in global supply chains. “This year, Taiwan Weeks will broaden international ties and enhance Taiwan’s profile with a wider array of themes and participants,” stated Dr. Peng, emphasizing the event's importance in fostering understanding and exploring new investment opportunities.
The inaugural Taiwan Weeks attracted around 28,000 visitors, showcasing over 1,200 institutional representatives and more than 250 international investor representatives. This year's expectation is to surpass these numbers, reflecting Taiwan's growing significance in the global financial landscape.
Engaging Programs
The agenda includes an impressive selection of over 12 flagship events and more than 30 related activities, with participation from over 30 asset managers, banks, and brokerage firms. Key topics will involve discussions around artificial intelligence (AI), exchange-traded funds (ETF), financial resilience, and innovative financing solutions.
The opening ceremony, set for November 3, will feature global asset managers and international exchange leaders discussing the evolution of global financial markets and the potential of the Taiwanese market. One of the event highlights includes the Forum on Asian Asset Management, scheduled for November 6 in Kaohsiung, which will spotlight advancements in the city's wealth management zone. Additionally, the TiBOOST - INNOVATION GROWTH PROGRAM will occur on November 10, connecting promising startups specializing in AI to financial resources and international investors.
Furthermore, the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA) will hold its 25th annual conference in Taiwan for the first time during Taiwan Weeks.
