Wipfli Welcomes Charley Boyle as Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Pioneering AI and Data Strategies
Wipfli, one of the top 25 advisory and accounting firms in the United States, is thrilled to introduce Charley Boyle as its newly appointed chief data and analytics officer. With a robust background in data strategy and artificial intelligence, Boyle is set to elevate Wipfli's analytics initiatives. With over two decades of experience under his belt, Boyle has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise that spans across multiple sectors, standing out particularly in the realms of digital data exploitation and AI transformation.
Before joining Wipfli, Boyle was a vice president at Fortive, where he led the data strategy for three distinct operating companies. Furthermore, he held the position of product general manager specifically for data and AI solutions. His leadership was instrumental in executing critical AI integration projects within the enterprise, whereby his team successfully translated valuable customer insights into scalable software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings that significantly improved user experiences.
During his tenure at Fortive, Boyle spearheaded the development of an AI-enabled anomaly detection model tailored for predictive maintenance. This model is particularly beneficial for clients in the retail sector, enabling the proactive management of connected assets. Additionally, he orchestrated the implementation of a Generative AI large language model designed to provide actionable data insights for healthcare clients, enhancing their capacity for capital asset planning related to significant medical equipment.
Boyle has also served in high-profile roles such as chief data and analytics officer at Octo Telematics and chief data scientist at Honeywell. At Wipfli, he plans to leverage his extensive experience in building top-tier data science teams. His strategy is focused on amplifying machine learning applications, developing monetizable data products, and constructing effective AI solutions that enhance data efficiency, ultimately benefiting Wipfli's clients.
In the initial 30 to 60 days of his role, Boyle aims to immerse himself fully in the business environment by listening, learning, and evaluating the existing resources, skills, and technological needs relevant to data management. In a statement, Kurt Gresens, managing partner at Wipfli, expressed enthusiasm for Boyle's addition to the firm, emphasizing that his mission to foster innovation and uphold excellence in data strategy aligns seamlessly with the core values and growth ambitions of Wipfli.
"We are excited to welcome Charley to our team as the new chief data and analytics officer. His vision for driving innovation in our data strategies is precisely what we need to enhance our service offerings and operational efficiency," stated Gresens.
Boyle's strategic outlook on data prioritizes its value as a critical enabler of business objectives rather than merely a segregated operational element. "My approach is centered on cultivating organizational trust in data, establishing robust governance structures, and laying a sustainable framework that facilitates advanced analytics and AI capabilities that yield concrete business value," Boyle articulated.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Ithaca College and an MBA from Widener University, Boyle combines his academic credentials with practical industry knowledge to propel Wipfli into its next phase of innovation.
