30th Anniversary of Yurikamome

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Japan's unique new transportation system, Yurikamome, which connects Tokyo's urban centers to the Bay Area, including Odaiba and Toyosu. To commemorate this milestone, Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel is inviting everyone to participate in a special photo contest titled "Yurikamome No Aru Fukei” or “Landscapes with Yurikamome” from September 16, 2025, to October 15, 2025.

Yurikamome is beloved for its stunning scenery, including dynamic views of the Rainbow Bridge and the urban landscapes of the waterfront area. The Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel, conveniently located just a three-minute walk from both the Tokyo Big Sight Station and Ariake Station, offers some rooms with views of the Yurikamome itself, making it an ideal spot to capture and celebrate this iconic transit line.

Photo Contest Details

Participants are encouraged to submit their photos showcasing their favorite views or moments involving Yurikamome. Whether it’s a morning commute snapshot, a picturesque scene captured during a visit to Odaiba, or a captivating view from the hotel room window, we invite photographers to share their unique perspectives. The submission process is simple:
1. Follow our official Instagram account (@tokyobayariakewh_official).
2. Post a photo that fits the contest theme along with a title using the hashtags #YurikamomeNoAruFukei and #TokyoBayAriakeWashingtonHotel.

The contest will select three winners based on creativity and the emotional connection conveyed towards the Yurikamome, as well as the charm of Ariake. The Grand Prize winner will receive a free stay at the Yurikamome Collaboration Room, which includes breakfast for two, while the Yurikamome Award winner will receive a bundle of Yurikamome-themed merchandise. In addition, one participant will be awarded the Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel Prize, which also includes a complimentary stay with breakfast.

As part of this celebratory initiative, we will also be introducing a special Yurikamome Collaboration Room, available for booking starting mid-October 2025. This themed room features actual train driver’s controls, making it a dream come true for railway enthusiasts and a unique experience for couples and families alike.
