Celebrating 'ONE TAIYO': A Silver Award Winning Newsletter

The Taiyo Group, which includes Taiyo Kogyo Co., Ltd., TSP Taiyo Co., Ltd., and Actio Co., Ltd., proudly announced that its internal newsletter ONE TAIYO has received the Silver Award in the prestigious 2026 In-House Report Awards. Organized by WizWorks Inc., this event stands as one of the largest competitions dedicated to internal communications in Japan.

The purpose of the awards is to provide a platform where communication professionals can learn from one another and celebrate their achievements. This year's event marked the 25th occurrence, with an overwhelming 568 submissions from 253 companies across the nation. ONE TAIYO excelled in its category (Printed Internal Newsletter Category / Over 20 Pages) and was selected from 68 submissions, a testament to its quality and the effectiveness of its communication strategies.

A Legacy of Communication: The Story Behind ONE TAIYO

Founded in 1963 as Warera Taiyo, the evolution of ONE TAIYO reflects more than six decades of the Taiyo Group's commitment to communicating its founding principles, values, and the vision of its founders with its employees. After a brief hiatus, the newsletter made a comeback in August 2022, coinciding with the group's 100th anniversary, and has since maintained its role as a significant communication tool within the organization.

The motto, "Making the World Softer. Making the Future Warmer," crafted through its activities and initiatives, aims to create a narrative that connects the group’s mission to its everyday endeavors. The newsletter is produced three times a year, ensuring continuous engagement and connection among employees.

Highlighting Collaborative Efforts: Issue Vol. 11

The award-winning issue, Vol. 11 (February 2026 release), serves as a recap of a series of features covering the Osaka-Kansai Expo, focusing on its significance for the group. This special edition reflects on the first collaborative project among the three companies and includes dialogue between the three company presidents, showcasing behind-the-scenes insights and stories from employees who were directly involved with the expo as well as those who were not. The goal was to encourage all employees to view various challenges as their own, building a unified identity within the group.

In addition, the award judges noted the newsletter's effective correlation between the thematic focus on the collaboration for the Osaka-Kansai Expo and the overarching mission of fostering mutual understanding and collaboration among the three companies. The dialogues not only highlighted the challenges faced but also the learning experiences and future aspirations, showcasing a depth that transcends mere activity reporting.

Striving for Better Internal Communications

The evaluators appreciated how ONE TAIYO emphasizes collaboration among the three companies while addressing both successes and challenges. The commitment to conveying a sense of pride and hope for the future among employees was evident. The editorial team remains dedicated to strengthening the group’s unity and understanding, aiming to produce an internal newsletter that resonates positively with all employees.
