Sustainable Collaboration at SAKEICE Tokyo Shop

The SAKEICE Tokyo Shop is excited to announce a unique collaboration featuring the eco-friendly sake "Amadare Ishi o Ugatsu Watashibune" from Fukui Yahachi Shoten, available as ice cream starting August 2nd. This partnership embodies a commitment to reducing CO₂ emissions in rice production, transforming the traditional Japanese beverage into an innovative dessert.

The Unique Sake

"Amadare Ishi o Ugatsu Watashibune" is crafted using the "Watashibune" rice from Shiga Prefecture. This rice is grown using environmentally friendly agricultural practices, specifically incorporating biochar into the soil to help sequester carbon dioxide. Developed by Yanmar, the technology converts rice husks into biochar, and Nishisaka Noki supplies the husks to facilitate this sustainable farming method. This approach not only helps capture CO₂ during the rice cultivation phase but also supports a responsible cycle from rice farming to sake production and ice cream creation.

Ice Cream Release

The collaborative ice cream will be sold at SAKEICE Tokyo Shop from August 2 to August 10. As part of the promotion, for every scoop of the collaborative ice cream purchased, customers will have a chance to enter a lucky draw. Participants can enter multiple times with each purchase, but supplies for the prizes are limited, so it's first come, first served!

Exclusive Events

On August 9, from noon to 7 PM, customers will have the chance to meet Fukui Yahachi Shoten's Fukui-san at SAKEICE BAR! Engage with the producer directly and discover more about their intriguing products, including other varieties of sake. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your appreciation for this high-quality sake.

The Gacha Campaign

Participating in the gacha event is simple! For every scoop of the "Amadare Ishi o Ugatsu Watashibune" ice cream purchased, you will receive one gacha chance. Special prizes include:

• - 1st Prize: Aprons valued at 3,000–5,000 JPY (2 winners)
• - 2nd Prize: Jinkichi bags valued at 1,000–3,000 JPY (3 winners)
