Indian Motorcycle's Charity Ride Unites Riders for Military Families in Need
Riding for a Cause: The Return of the Folds of Honor Charity Ride
Indian Motorcycle, the legendary brand known as America's First Motorcycle Company, is gearing up to once more host its national charity ride in support of the Folds of Honor Foundation. This initiative aims to aid families of both military service members and first responders who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty. Scheduled for September 20, 2025, riders across the nation are encouraged to participate, joining in at their local Indian Motorcycle dealership. Registration and donations can be made via the Indian Motorcycle IMRG National Charity webpage.
Reflecting on the success of last year's efforts, where Indian Motorcycle exceeded its goal of $50,000 and managed to raise a remarkable $114,000, they have set an ambitious target of $250,000 for this year's ride. “The response from our riders and supporters last year was overwhelming, proving just how meaningful this cause is for our community,” stated Aaron Jax, Vice President of Indian Motorcycle. This year’s ride transcends the essence of motorcycling; it’s a tribute to the courageous individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice to serve the country and a demonstration of unwavering community support.
Every contribution, regardless of size, plays a crucial role in fulfilling the mission to support the families of those who have served. As an additional effort to bolster fundraising, Indian Motorcycle will also be auctioning a custom Sport Chief RT, with all proceeds dedicated to Folds of Honor. Participants who contribute can look forward to exclusive rewards, including a brand-new 2025 Indian Sport Chief RT for the top fundraiser and an all-expenses-paid trip for the runner-up who contributes the second-highest amount.
Lt Col Dan Rooney, the founder and CEO of Folds of Honor, expressed gratitude towards Indian Motorcycle and the riders participating in the event. He emphasized that such contributions are vital not only in honoring the nation’s heroes but also in providing educational opportunities that can change lives. Established nearly 20 years ago, Folds of Honor has now granted nearly 62,000 educational scholarships, amounting to an extraordinary $290 million in total educational impact across all 50 states.
The Folds of Honor charity ride is part of a broader array of events orchestrated by the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG). With around 137 chapters and about 7,500 riders nationwide, IMRG frequently hosts a multitude of rides and activities for both members and general motorcycle enthusiasts. Information about registration and donations can be accessed on the IMRG National Charity webpage.
