On July 5th, 2026, the Sumida Nature Positive Stamp Rally will take place at Kinshicho Park in Tokyo, organized by the Tokyo Young Men's Association's Sumida Committee. This outdoor event aims to connect families, particularly those raising children in the area, to nature while addressing local environmental issues.
Background of the Event
Currently, Sumida Ward struggles with low green space quality, which limits opportunities for local residents to engage in environmental conservation activities. Many community members lack time and knowledge, preventing them from participating actively in safeguarding their surroundings. The Sumida Nature Positive Stamp Rally is developed with the aim to change that by creating opportunities for families to interact with nature within their daily environments.
Event Highlights
Built upon a three-stage design—[Know, Experience, Feel]—the event comprises multiple fun and educational activities:
1. Stamp Rally: Families will participate in a fun stamp collection game throughout the park.
2. Nature Quiz: Compete in an engaging quiz that tests your knowledge on environmental topics.
3. My Action Declaration: Participants can declare their commitment to more eco-friendly habits.
4. Interaction with Animals: A mobile zoo will offer kids a chance to connect with various animals.
These activities are designed to raise awareness about nature and biodiversity among participants, especially those who might not typically engage with these topics. The aim is for attendees to adopt environmental conservation as a part of their everyday choices.
