Stoneridge Appoints New Engineering Leader

Stoneridge, Inc., a renowned player in the realm of electronic technologies for commercial vehicles, has officially announced the appointment of Uwe Brandenburg as their Global Vice President for Engineering and Innovation. Scheduled to take on the role starting November 2, 2026, Brandenburg's expertise is expected to drive Stoneridge's engineering vision and enhance innovation within the company.

Brandenburg will directly report to President Natalia Noblet and will be a vital member of the executive leadership team. He is tasked with guiding Stoneridge's engineering strategies in product development, focusing on enhancing vehicle intelligence, safety, and connectivity – all critical components of modern automotive technologies.

In remarks about his new role, Noblet expressed high hopes for Brandenburg, highlighting his extensive background in automotive electronics and proven leadership capabilities. She noted that he has a history of creating top-tier engineering teams and delivering groundbreaking advancements in areas such as Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles. This is particularly vital as the automotive industry pivots towards smarter, safer vehicles.

Brandenburg joins Stoneridge with over 25 years of experience in Tier 1 automotive electronics. His latest position was with DXC Technology, where he was the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President for Automotive and Manufacturing. Before that, he was the Chief Technology Officer and global engineering lead at Valeo, where he oversaw ADAS engineering developments. His role also included significant stints at Continental, Autoliv, and TRW Automotive, focusing on key areas such as radar systems and safety electronics for major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
