Persol Diverse Participation in TEAM EXPO Pavilion at Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025

Persol Diverse at TEAM EXPO Pavilion

Persol Diverse, a subsidiary specializing in inclusive employment for people with disabilities, will participate as a co-creation partner in the TEAM EXPO Pavilion within the Future Life Village at the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, starting from April. The event will take place on August 1st and will focus on the theme of "Neurodiversity x Generative AI".

Emphasizing Neurodiversity

The concept of Neurodiversity acknowledges the variety of cognitive and neurological differences among individuals, advocating for mutual respect and utilization of these differences within society. During the Expo, Persol Diverse aims to introduce visitors to important ideas surrounding this theme, which are essential for promoting Neurodiversity within the community.

Persol Diverse has collaborated with the CDLE Generative Model Group, part of Japan's largest AI community, to launch initiatives that promote Neurodiversity. The work being showcased at the TEAM EXPO Pavilion emphasizes understanding the unique features of how each individual’s brain functions, just as each person's face differs. This knowledge is intended to spark personal insights that may lead to changes in daily behavior.

The TEAM EXPO program reflects a commitment to realizing a future society where human life shines bright, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over 400 organizations, including government bodies, NGOs, and corporations, endorse this program, collectively registering more than 2,000 innovative projects for the community challenge.

Key Activities and Exhibits

At the Persol Diverse booth, visitors can engage with all aspects of Neurodiversity, discovering the importance of different perspectives and the significance of these differences through interactive displays.

Highlighting Innovative Projects

Persol Diverse is dedicated to creating diverse employment models that leverage the abilities of individuals with disabilities. One notable initiative is "Neuro Dive," Japan’s first job transition support facility focused on cutting-edge IT skills. This facility trains individuals with developmental disabilities to excel in fields like AI and data science, and supports about 100 participants daily across five locations. Many are successfully employed as data analysts, machine learning engineers, and in digital marketing roles.

The CDLE (Community of Deep Learning Engineers) is a consortium recognized by the Japan Deep Learning Association, consisting of G-certified and E-qualified individuals advocating for the advancement of AI technology. Within this group, the focus is on utilizing generative AI effectively and responsibly.

Persol Diverse and the CDLE Generative Model team engage in research aimed at discovering how the strengths of individuals with developmental disabilities can be maximized. Attendees from Neuro Dive participate in various projects, partaking in discussions and hackathons, and simulating job experiences in real-world IT settings.

Continuous Learning Opportunities

  • - Skill Enhancement Workshops: Regular workshops led by industry professionals focusing on generative AI and data science fundamentals enrich participants' learning experiences. These sessions include Q&A segments to foster knowledge exchange and application.

  • - Simulated Projects: Participants engage in simulated business projects under the mentorship of experienced engineers, closely resembling actual workplace dynamics.

  • - TEAM EXPO Engagement: The organization has actively participated in five TEAM EXPO events, conducting presentations and exhibitions to raise awareness regarding Neurodiversity, with the aim of expanding understanding among diverse demographics.

Looking Forward

Persol Diverse continues to uphold its mission of promoting Neurodiversity as an integral part of society's fabric, transforming perceived limitations into strengths. The initiatives within TEAM EXPO Pavilion and beyond illustrate their commitment to shaping sustainable employment models that benefit all.
