Shanghai Electric's Strategic Agreements at Hannover Messe 2025

At the Hannover Messe 2025 held in Germany, Shanghai Electric made headlines by announcing strategic cooperation agreements totaling CNY 3.637 billion. These agreements mark a significant step for the company as it collaborates with enterprises from more than ten countries, including major players from Germany, the U.K., France, Egypt, and Zambia. The focus of these collaborations revolves around advancing technological innovations and industrial applications that emphasize green solutions, low-carbon technologies, smart infrastructure, and high-end manufacturing.

Transitioning to Green Intelligent Systems

Wang Deyuan, Managing Director Assistant at Shanghai Electric Group, highlighted that the company is in the midst of an evolution. "Shanghai Electric is transitioning from a traditional manufacturing enterprise to a provider of green intelligent systems. These agreements reflect a shared vision of complementary strengths and integrated innovation between global partners. This evolution in collaboration underscores our collective resolve to address the global green transition challenges," he stated.

During the exhibition, Shanghai Electric showcased over twenty groundbreaking technologies. These innovations included automation systems tailored for the aerospace sector, advanced manufacturing systems for new energy vehicles (NEVs), and comprehensive zero-carbon industrial park solutions. Notable flagship products announced included:

1. The 'Thinker' Smart PV Module: A next-generation photovoltaic solution that uses real-time AI-driven optimization to maximize energy yield.
2. Next-Gen Hydrogen Cubic-Level Type-I Electrolyzer: Utilizing high-performance composite membrane technology, this electrolyzer achieves significant advantages, including high hydrogen production and efficiency, easy operation, and maintenance.
3. 50 Nm³/h Seawater/Wastewater-to-Hydrogen System: An innovative hydrogen production technology that efficiently electrolyzes seawater and wastewater, demonstrating resilience to various water qualities.
