Yohji Yamamoto's WILDSIDE presents a daring conceptual collection that merges fashion with fine art, collaborating with renowned artist Suzume Uchida. This eagerly anticipated partnership showcases not only a unique artwork but also three exclusive fashion items inspired by Uchida's creation.

The collaboration will launch on April 17, 2026, at the WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO HARAJUKU store, with an early selling opportunity, while the official release will extend to various locations beginning April 22, 2026. To commemorate the second anniversary of the Harajuku store, Uchida crafted a stunning beauty portrait titled "春の風" (Spring Breeze). This piece reflects her trademark style, evolving from previous collaborations with Yohji Yamamoto, specifically the Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME 2018 S/S collection.

In "Spring Breeze," the artist amplifies the expressiveness and dynamism of her figures, encapsulating the softness of spring with flowing hair that dances in an ethereal wind. This multilayered portrayal invites viewers to engage with the themes of femininity, memory, and emotion, while also embodying a light and airy ambiance.

Additionally, the fashion pieces derived from this artwork include a jacket, blouse, and T-shirt, each thoughtfully designed to reflect the essence of Uchida's artistic vision. The jacket, made of lightweight desin fabric, combines elegance with practicality, while the rayon blouse drapes gently for a refined look. About Suzume Uchida

Suzume Uchida is a contemporary artist born in 1986, who graduated from Tsukuba University specializing in the arts. After gaining professional experience, she began creating art in 2014, holding her first solo exhibition the same year. Known for her realistic and delicate depictions, Uchida explores themes surrounding women's bodies, inner selves, memories, and emotions, often drawing from her own experiences. Her works articulate the tensions between anxiety, sadness, and the hope that signifies the essence of life. Since her collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto in 2017, she has ventured into multiple partnerships with notable brands, including Y-3 and BE@RBRICK.

The collaboration's exclusive artworks will be available through a lottery system from April 17, 2026, 12:00 PM to April 22, 2026, 11:59 PM via the WILDSIDE official platform. Winners will be announced on April 23, 2026, with shipments expected in mid-May. A special exhibition of the artworks will be held at WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO HARAJUKU from April 17 to April 24, 2026.
