The exciting 'Energetic Sky Chorus' event is set to take place in Akita during the renowned 97th National Fireworks Competition. Originally planned for Shizuoka, Hokkaido, and Kumamoto, this unique event will now also feature Akita, which is celebrated for its dazzling fireworks. This special occasion, on August 30, is a collaboration between Otsuka Pharmaceutical's popular carbonated nutritional drink, Oronamin C, and a breathtaking drone performance.

For the past 60 years, Oronamin C has uplifted spirits in Japan with its catchy tagline 'Energetic and Lively!' This year's 'Energetic Sky Chorus' aims to enhance that mission by inviting participants to join in a collective experience of joy and vibrancy. The concept revolves around approximately 1,300 drones lighting up the night sky with musical notation, lyrics, and symbols resembling Oronamin C, culminating in a massive chorus involving attendees—a first of its kind in Japan.

The overwhelming response to the preliminary event held during the 59th Otaru Tide Festival in Hokkaido on July 27 underscores the excitement surrounding the 'Energetic Sky Chorus'. The event was well attended, and the official social media video amassed over 13.5 million views, paving the way for this grand expansion into Akita's famed fireworks competition.

Spectacular Performance Details

The performance will feature an impressive drone display overseen by Red Cliff, a company known for its high-quality drone shows globally. Attendees will sing along to the beloved and enduring song 'Ai wa Katsu' by singer-songwriter KAN, celebrated for its straightforward yet powerful lyrics that resonate with a wide audience. This beloved anthem, which has inspired many for decades, will be part of a shared experience, designed to transform collective energy into a positive outlook for the future.

Expect mesmerizing visuals as about 1,300 drones create a colossal design of Oronamin C measuring approximately 65 meters wide and 225 meters tall in the night sky, accompanied by a narration from voice actor Tomokazu Sugita, known for his work in popular anime such as 'Gintama' and 'Demon Slayer'.
