The Exciting Winners of the 6th Dream Home Art Contest Announced

6th Dream Home Art Contest Presents Its Winners

The excitement surrounding the 6th Dream Home Art Contest, organized by LIXIL's Eyeful Home Company, has reached its peak with the announcement of the award-winning works. Targeted at children aged 12 and under, this contest invited young talents to submit artworks that depicted their dream houses, featuring imaginative and whimsical designs that reflect their personal visions of home. This year's competition received an astounding 717 submissions from across the country, showcasing the creativity and diverse perspectives of children.

The contest was divided into two categories: coloring and drawing, allowing children to express their creativity in their preferred medium. The judging panel consisted of company employees and external designers, ensuring a well-rounded evaluation process. Additionally, for the first time, the esteemed expert in inquiry-based learning, Kunihiko Yahagi, joined the panel to provide specialized insights into the children's works. His evaluations and comments aimed to support and encourage the budding creativity of these young minds, highlighting the importance of nurturing imagination in educational environments.

At Eyeful Home, we focus on a children’s design philosophy, which considers the perspectives and needs of children in home design. We strive to create living spaces that foster creativity, autonomy, and curiosity, encapsulated in our concept: 'A Life that Nurtures Children.' The artworks submitted in this contest not only inspired but also serve as foundational elements for developing future kids’ design products, helping to turn children's ideas and dreams into reality.
