Nubia Enhances Communication with New AI Features

In an effort to bridge language gaps and enhance user experiences, ZTE Japan has announced new advanced AI features for the Nubia S 5G and Nubia Flip 2 smartphones. Starting on September 24, 2025, users will have access to two groundbreaking AI functionalities: AI Translation and AI Transcription. AI Translation: Real-Time Communication Redefined

The AI Translation feature allows users to engage in real-time translations during phone calls. By simply setting up the AI translation feature in the call app, the phone will display a translation interface, providing translations alongside the spoken conversation. This functionality not only transcribes spoken words but also presents them in text form for clarity.

Users can customize their audio settings as per their preferences, allowing them to select whether they want to hear the original audio, the translated audio, or both. However, it is important to note that there may be a slight delay of up to a second on longer phrases. Additionally, the AI Translation feature is compatible with popular messaging applications such as LINE, Messenger, WhatsApp, Viber, and WeChat. It supports a wide array of languages, including Mandarin, English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai, Arabic, and Vietnamese, covering eleven languages in total.

AI Transcription: Simplifying Documentation

In addition to the translation capabilities, Nubia has introduced an AI Transcription feature that converts voice recordings from the phone's recorder or call recording function into text. This can significantly enhance productivity, especially for professionals who rely on meetings, conversations, or interviews that require written documentation.
