This essential leadership role underscores the bank's commitment to community engagement and operational excellence in its home region, showcasing a strategic move towards strengthening its community banking operations.

In her expanded capacity, Woodrow will continue her duties as Chief Administrative Officer while also overseeing community banking leadership across an eight-county stretch within Western New York. Her growing responsibilities include guiding teams that handle retail banking, commercial banking, business banking, wealth management, government banking, as well as charitable initiatives. This multi-faceted role aligns with M&T Bank's mission to support employees and enrich the communities it serves.

René Jones, Chairman and CEO of M&T Bank, expressed his enthusiasm regarding Woodrow's new position: _“Tracy is an exceptional leader dedicated to strengthening our company's most enduring investment – our people.”_ Under Woodrow's leadership, M&T aims to empower its colleagues to excel in their roles, fostering a culture of excellence that aligns with the bank's core values.

Woodrow first joined M&T Bank back in 2013, originally tasked with handling the enterprise-wide anti-money laundering program. Her dedication and expertise propelled her into positions of increasing responsibility, eventually leading to her role as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2020. Since then, she has been pivotal in steering the bank's response to new workplace dynamics following the COVID-19 pandemic as well as focusing on staffing, leadership development, and employee relations for the bank's large workforce of more than 22,000 employees spread across the Northeastern United States. Most recently in 2023, she took on the role of Chief Administrative Officer, a position from which she will now transition into her new responsibilities.

Beyond the corporate realm, Woodrow is deeply invested in local community initiatives. She currently serves on the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Board of Trustees and holds the Vice Presidency of the Buffalo Prep Board of Directors. Additionally, she is the Chairwoman of the Westminster Foundation Board of Directors and a graduate of Leadership Buffalo, further reinforcing her commitment to mentorship and community service.

Woodrow herself remarked, _“I am honored to lead our community bank and guide our local workforce in the region where MT Bank was born and has flourished since.”_ She recognizes M&T's crucial role in local economic development, noting the bank's aim to empower local residents to achieve their goals of business ownership, home purchases, and personal projects.

As regional president, Woodrow's responsibilities encompass not just overarching management but also the implementation of market-specific strategies that cater to customers’ individual needs. M&T Bank's community banking philosophy is notable for its focus on relationship-driven service that emphasizes local decision-making, ensuring solutions that are both relevant and impactful.

In terms of employment, M&T Bank currently has 8,000 employees stationed throughout Western New York, with its operations headquartered in Buffalo. The bank maintains a network of 58 branches across several counties, enabling it to effectively reach and serve its client base. Last year, the bank's local teams contributed nearly 87,500 hours of volunteer service to various community initiatives and donated $7.6 million to support local nonprofits, illustrating their commitment to social responsibility.

In her new capacity as Regional President, Woodrow takes over the helm from Eric Feldstein, who has been instrumental in guiding the area's banking initiatives over the past years. Feldstein will transition into a broader role, overseeing M&T Bank's combined retail and business banking teams.

Looking ahead, Woodrow's leadership promises to be transformative for M&T Bank and the communities it serves. As she works to bridge local needs with the bank's extensive capabilities, stakeholders can expect a future of dedicated service and community enhancement under her stewardship.
