Prisma Photonics, an innovative deep-tech company, has successfully completed an oversubscribed funding round, raising $30 million to accelerate the scalability of its AI-driven Hyper-Scan Fiber-Sensing™ platform. This investment brings their total capital raised to an impressive $80 million. Leaders in the funding round include Protego Ventures along with contributions from Adara Ventures and a prominent Latin American transmission operator, alongside existing support from companies such as Insight Partners and Chione Switzerland.
The company's pioneering technology converts standard optical fibers into sophisticated sensor networks that monitor and secure infrastructures. Already deployed across thousands of kilometers globally, their system has been utilized by 15 Tier-1 Transmission System Operators in the U.S. and Europe. The AI-driven platform offers meter-level accuracy in detecting, classifying, and localizing various events, from security breaches to conditions threatening power grid stability. This advanced solution has proven instrumental in safeguarding critical infrastructures, including military installations and renewable energy integration.
