In contrast, Aspiring Materials utilizes a patented, waste-free extraction process that draws on olivine, an abundant and cost-effective rock. The U.S. boasts substantial deposits of olivine, estimated to be over a trillion tonnes. According to Mark Chadderton, CEO of Aspiring Materials, this expansion presents the U.S. with a pivotal opportunity to improve its self-sufficiency in the production of critical minerals. Chadderton and his co-founders, Dr. Chris Oze and Colum Rice, are embarked on a nationwide tour in May to engage with potential investors, technology partners, and collaborators.
