XTI Aerospace Achieves Key Engineering Milestone with TriFan 600 Model Completion

XTI Aerospace Completes the Global Finite Element Model for the TriFan 600

On April 3, 2025, XTI Aerospace, Inc. (NASDAQ: XTIA) announced a major development in their aircraft innovations — the completion of the Global Finite Element Model (GFEM) for the latest configuration of the TriFan 600. This achievement marks a pivotal moment for the company in the first quarter of 2025, allowing further advancements in design and structural analysis.

The GFEM serves as an advanced layer of detail beyond the Digital Mock-up (DMU) of the TriFan 600, constructed with the comprehensive CATIA 3DX computer-aided design software. By finalizing the GFEM, the engineering team at XTI Aerospace can conduct thorough structural integrity assessments and analyze load distribution effectively. According to Dave Ambrose, the VP of Engineering at XTI Aircraft, this model enhances their capabilities to perform critical analyses related to the structural and mass properties of the aircraft.

"The DMU and GFEM allow us to conduct detailed analyses of our design concerning structure and mass properties," stated Ambrose. This signifies a notable leap forward, enabling the team to construct a more robust framework for validating and modifying the aircraft's internal structures, essential for ensuring safety and performance.

Scott Pomeroy, the Chairman and CEO of XTI Aerospace, emphasized the significance of the GFEM's completion, stating that it is a crucial step in refining the digital analysis of the TriFan 600. His words reflected a commitment to ongoing detailed design improvements, particularly regarding structure, load paths, weight optimization, and ensuring safety standards are met.

In Q1 2025, the company successfully met all six announced product and engineering milestones, a comprehensive plan kicking off with a downwash/outwash study to assess airflows generated during vertical takeoff and landing. This foundational work leads to the rollout of the
