These trials, conducted over several months on specific highway sections between Kanto and Kansai, confirmed that T2’s trucks met the necessary transportation quality and safety standards.
The results have paved the way for the commercial operations scheduled for April 6, 2026. The autonomous trucks will regularly transport synthetic resins and other chemical products over a 520 km route from Sumitomo's logistics base in Sodegaura, Chiba, to a relay base in Osaka.
