A Giant Anime Theater in Nakano
Tokyo’s Nakano area is set to transform into a vibrant hub for anime enthusiasts and local residents alike. From August 22 to August 24, 2025, the walls of the Nakano Central Park East office building will become a gigantic theatrical screen showcasing beloved animated films. This exciting event, known as the 'Nakano Chill Night Picnic,' is a collaborative initiative between the Nakano City government, Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd., and local anime-related businesses.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, this year’s festivities promise to offer an even more diverse experience. The central theme revolves around creating a new value of “resting together in the city,” aiming to attract visitors through anime while elevating the brand value of Nakano. The event is poised to provide a special experience amid nature, fostering a warm community atmosphere and stimulating the area's night economy.

During this three-day event, attendees can look forward to more than just film screenings. The schedule includes workshops for children, DJ performances, and various food trucks set up around the park, adding to the festive atmosphere.
