Taica Corporation's Sponsorship Renewal with Shimizu S-Pulse
Taica Corporation, located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, has proudly confirmed the renewal of its sponsorship agreement with the Japan Professional Football League team, Shimizu S-Pulse, as of February 1, 2026. This partnership continues to highlight Taica's commitment to supporting its roots in Shimizu City and the local community.
The official sponsorship designation is as an Official Top Partner, which allows Taica to have a presence within the team’s uniforms as well as promotional materials for the upcoming seasons, including the prestigious Meiji Yasuda J1 League.
Contract Details
As part of this partnership, Taica’s original character, Gelpiyo, will be featured prominently on the team's special design uniforms for the Meiji Yasuda J1 Hundred-Year Concept League. The placement of the character will be on the left side of the collar for the jerseys and on the front of the shorts. New player signings for the upcoming season, including Yushi Doi, Ryota Hariu, and Koya Kitagawa, will proudly don these uniforms.
A Message from Taica’s Management
Taica's President, Daito Suzuki, expressed pride in continuing to support Shimizu S-Pulse into the 2025 season. Last season concluded with the team finishing in 14th place within the J1 League, showcasing the intense competition that defined their year. Under the passionate leadership of Manager Akiba, the team solidified its place in Shimizu’s rich football history.
Though Manager Akiba is bidding farewell after three impactful years, Taica welcomes the new leadership of Manager Yoshida while embracing the slogan 'NEW BEGINNING.' The company remains devoted to cheering for the team and its future endeavors.
During the past season, Taica proudly displayed Gelpiyo on the team’s shorts and experienced the thrill of standing alongside the players on the field. Additionally, through collaborative efforts with the club, Taica organized a soccer clinic with RCD Mallorca and continued its initiative of donating soccer balls to Cambodia. These efforts reflect Taica’s commitment to fostering global learning opportunities through football.
Witnessing the growth of future athletes has brought immense joy to Taica, underlined by the past summer's opportunity for player Hariu to train with the FC Barcelona-affiliated club, UE Sant Andreu. Moving forward, Taica aims to enhance its contributions to the local community and youth development alongside Shimizu S-Pulse.
“Our spirit of challenge is constantly nourished by the passion of Shimizu S-Pulse. We remain committed to our roots within this community and are determined to amplify our efforts through soccer on a global stage,” stated Suzuki. The year 2026 will kick off with the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Hundred-Year Concept League, promising a tough season ahead for players and staff. Taica eagerly anticipates the extended opportunity to support Shimizu S-Pulse this year.
Go, S-Pulse!
