100BANCH Welcomes Innovative Projects
In an exciting development at
100BANCH, two innovative projects have been selected as part of the
GARAGE Program's 105th iteration. This hub is dedicated to fostering new ideas and creating a better future by working alongside the younger generation, focusing on a concept aimed at enriching the world 100 years into the future. Both projects will begin residency in April 2026.
GARAGE Program: A Launchpad for Future Leaders
The
GARAGE Program is designed to promote projects led by young leaders under the age of 35 who are eager to experiment and build a better world for the future. Selected participants will receive support through mentorship and a dedicated space for three months, during which they can explore their innovative ideas and experiments.
The two projects selected for the 105th cohort are:
1. Kizuki_0: Cultivating Awareness Through Creative Devices
Kizuki_0 focuses on unlocking insights through the mathematical concepts hidden within origami and crafts. The goal is to create devices that translate geometric phenomena into sensory experiences using sound and light. The project seeks to captivate people's curiosity, enabling them to engage with scientific principles intuitively while fostering a love for exploration. By doing so, it aims to inspire broader scientific awareness and curiosity among the public, creating a ripple effect of understanding that can fundamentally change perspectives towards science in everyday life.

2. City Stories Circus: Breathing Life into Local Tales
The
City Stories Circus aims to transform Shibuya's rich cultural history into engaging contemporary circus performances. By utilizing acrobatics and juggling, this project will pay homage to local stories, developing short performances that incorporate the unique chaos of Shibuya. The aim is to shift the experience from merely being spectators to genuinely immersing themselves in the narratives of the community through a non-verbal circus show that captivates and engages the audience’s imagination.
