Pendo Unveils Japanese User Interface
Pendo, a platform focused on transforming software experiences into assets for decision-making and growth, has recently launched a Japanese user interface (UI) within its Software Experience Management (SXM) platform. This initiative marks the first step in Pendo’s localization strategy aimed at enhancing user experience in Japan, with a formal unveiling scheduled for July 2, 2025, at the flagship event, PendomoniumX Tokyo.
In recent years, many major companies in Japan have seen a growing involvement from business departments such as customer success, sales planning, and operations planning in product improvement and user experience design. There has been a strong demand for software interfaces that can be utilized in Japanese, as users seek a more intuitive environment.
Pendo has reported a substantial increase in its monthly active users (MAU) in Japan, with figures rising to 2.5 times over the past year and a half since early 2024. This notable growth highlights the rapidly increasing demand for data utilization led by field operations. The introduction of the Japanese UI responds effectively to this demand, serving as a significant step towards localization.
Key Features of the Japanese UI
The newly launched Japanese UI offers several sought-after features in the language, allowing users to interact with:
- - Management of pages and features, as well as tracking events
- - Analyzing accounts and visitor data
- - The login screen
- - Navigation bar and more
Users can access the Japanese UI by selecting “日本語” from the user profile settings after logging into Pendo.
Moving forward, Pendo is committed to flexible expansion of its localization efforts. This will not be limited to screen and feature availability, but will also include enhancements to the Japanese knowledge base and support systems to comprehensively support user engagement.
The localization project involves around 20 team members, including professionals from product, design, and engineering, as well as support teams from Japan and Germany. This cross-functional approach is aimed at ensuring efficient collaboration across global teams.
A Statement from Kazunari Hanao, Country Manager of Pendo.io Japan
Hanao stated, “In this era where business departments can actively implement improvements to products and services, usability is paramount. The provision of a Japanese UI is a testament to Pendo's dedication to listening to our customers in Japan and taking action. We will continue to partner closely with the fields to provide a better experience and expand the world of SXM through further localization.”
This announcement will be officially revealed at the annual conference, PendomoniumX Tokyo, hosted by Pendo on July 2, 2025, at the Akasaka Intercity Conference Center in Tokyo. The event will showcase various case studies from leading companies both domestically and internationally, along with best practices aimed at enhancing user experience quality. Attendees will have the chance to experience the Japanese UI firsthand and engage directly with engineers during Q&A sessions at dedicated booths.
