Introduction

On September 1, 2025, CAMPRi JAPAN, located in Minato, Tokyo, will proudly release the latest addition to the renowned Master’s Keep series of premium bourbon whiskies from Wild Turkey. The final chapter, named Master's Keep Beacon, marks a significant milestone in bourbon history.

Collaborative Masterpiece

This special release is the first collaboration between Master Distiller Eddie Russell and his son Bruce Russell, who serves as the Associate Master Blender. The Beacon is a blend of a 16-year-aged bourbon distilled in 2007-2008, chosen by Eddie, and a 10-year-aged bourbon distilled in 2015, handpicked by Bruce. Remarkably, it is bottled at an impressive proof of 118 (59%), reflecting the legacy and future of the Wild Turkey distillery.

The 10-year bourbon selected by Bruce carries sentimental value, as it represents the first batch he managed from inception to completion under the mentorship of his grandfather and Eddie's father, the esteemed Master Distiller Jimmy Russell, boasting over 70 years of whiskey-making expertise.

A Journey to Remember

The Master’s Keep series reaches its 10th installment with Beacon, concluding an extraordinary journey that began a decade ago. Both Eddie and Bruce share their reflections below:

Eddie Russell commented, “I never expected this journey to last this long when we started this series ten years ago. I take great pride in passing down the skills and passion inherited from my father to the next generation with my son.”

Bruce Russell expressed, “This bottle uses the first bourbon I was involved in, making it a special blend with my father. It is profoundly meaningful to see my name inscribed on my debut Master’s Keep.”
