Yutong Launches Its First Service Center in Europe, Expanding Electric Bus Support

Yutong Expands Its Reach in Europe with a New Service Center

Yutong Bus, a leader in commercial vehicle manufacturing, has officially inaugurated its first Yutong Service Center in Europe on September 8, 2026, located in Stokke, Norway. This state-of-the-art facility marks a significant advancement as Yutong embarks on enhancing its service capabilities for electric bus fleets across the continent.

A Comprehensive Solution for Electric Buses

The newly established service center encompasses an impressive 38,941 square meters, with a dedicated facility area of 6,074 square meters, including a parts warehouse of 2,300 square meters. This center integrates various functions: from vehicle delivery to after-sales service, spare parts supply, and technical training, offering an all-encompassing ecosystem for electric bus customers.

As Norway pushes forward with its transition to sustainable public transport, Yutong's new center plays a pivotal role in enhancing vehicle maintenance capabilities and offering prompt local service for electric buses. By consolidating critical service aspects in one location, Yutong aims to improve operational efficiency for bus operators.

Facility Features and Services

The service center is equipped with modern facilities including multiple maintenance bays, comprehensive inspection zones, and training areas to develop local expertise. It features:
  • - Seven standardized maintenance bays dedicated to various repairs including electrical systems and high-voltage components.
  • - Specialized areas for powertrain and large component repairs equipped with the latest technology such as electronic laser wheel alignment systems and brake testers.
  • - A parts warehouse stocked with over 4,500 SKUs of genuine Yutong parts, ensuring quick access and minimal downtime for fleet operators.

According to Jack Li, CEO of Yutong Central and Northern Europe, “The service center is positioned as a comprehensive, centralized service hub” aimed at reducing total ownership costs and maximizing bus uptime. The introduction of local stock and rapid part replenishment processes helps mitigate sourcing delays, allowing operators to keep their fleets running smoothly.

Streamlined Support and Training

The center not only serves as a repair and maintenance hub but also emphasizes the importance of training local technicians. With well-equipped training rooms that feature hands-on training platforms, Yutong aims to provide knowledge on component identification and fault diagnosis, utilizing actual vehicle parts for real-world applications. This commitment to education ensures that local technicians are well-equipped to handle the complexities of electric bus maintenance.

Additionally, the facility adheres to EU standards, featuring a dedicated inspection line for Norway's mandated annual inspections—further bolstering its role as a critical service provider. This line includes advanced testing equipment for brake, lighting, and drive systems.

Future Expansion Plans

Looking ahead, Yutong plans to leverage the Stokke service center as a model for future facilities across Europe in countries such as the Netherlands, Chile, Kazakhstan, and Saudi Arabia. The overarching goal is to continue building local capabilities for the electrification and maintenance of buses, contributing to a greener and more sustainable public transportation framework.

As Yutong’s first comprehensive service center in Europe, it reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality service and support to its customers, further solidifying its position in the evolving transportation landscape.
