Poppins Nursery School Umi Opens at Takanawa Gateway Station, Emphasizing Global Education

Poppins Nursery School Umi Opens at Takanawa Gateway Station

As part of a commitment to nurturing the potential of future generations, Poppins Education, a subsidiary of Poppins Co., has announced the opening of "Poppins Nursery School Umi" in front of Takanawa Gateway Station. Slated to open in April 2026, this nursery school will be the second facility located within the Takanawa Gateway City, following the establishment of "Poppins Nursery School Sora" in 2025. The school combines Poppins' unique educational philosophy, known as "EduCare" (a blend of education and childcare), with global educational frameworks aimed at maximizing children's capabilities.

Design Inspired by the Sea

The design of Poppins Nursery School Umi draws inspiration from the rich history of the Takanawa area, which has long been associated with the sea. This nautical theme reflects the hope that children will inherit a legacy while setting out into the vastness of the world, empowering them to shine on a global stage.

This nursery school features classrooms with views of the Takanawa landscape, paired with designs that evoke imagery of the world's oceans. Envisioned spaces include the "Piazza" playroom that encourages adventurous exploration.

Nurturing Potential Through a Global Educational Environment

Poppins employs its distinct "EduCare" philosophy, aimed at fostering children's potential through a supportive environment. Within these spaces, children can engage with stimulating toys and books, explore their creativity in dedicated areas, and enjoy the freedom to learn in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. Additionally, bilingual nursery staff ensure that children are exposed to English daily, helping them develop a global perspective from a young age.

Planned interaction and collaborative activities between Poppins Nursery School Umi and its nearby counterpart, Poppins Nursery School Sora, add further enrichment to the educational experience.

A Supportive Environment for Parents

Acknowledging the needs of working parents, Poppins has designed the nursery to be accommodating. A co-working space is available for parents, allowing them to manage tasks conveniently before picking up their children. Subscription services for diapers and towels, as well as ample stroller storage, provide additional ease and accessibility for families.
