Huawei Launches AI Education Center to Transform Learning with AI Technology
Huawei Launches AI Education Center (AIEC)
During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on March 6, 2026, Huawei held a summit themed "Education + AI, Embracing an Intelligent Future," unveiling its innovative AI Education Center (AIEC). This initiative aims to accelerate the popularization and development of artificial intelligence (AI) education, fundamentally changing how students learn in primary and secondary schools.
Li Junfeng, Huawei's Vice President and CEO of the Global Public Sector Business Unit, emphasized that the core of future AI education is to achieve both "the lowest barriers and the largest coverage." Huawei positions itself as a technology enabler and ecosystem developer, collaborating with educational institutions and industry partners to create scenario-based solutions tailored for the AI education sector. The AIEC solution supports the introduction of general AI education into primary and secondary schools, ensuring every student gains access to future technology.
This cutting-edge AIEC solution integrates a robust hardware computing infrastructure, model services, application platforms, and an AI teaching and laboratory management system. It provides systematic AI learning content, experiential applications, and curriculum resources adaptable for students of all ages. By equipping children and young adults with essential skills for the future workforce, this initiative aims to lay a strong foundation for national technological innovation and industrial modernization.
Currently, the AIEC solution is deployed in Zhejiang province, China. In partnership with CourseGrading, Huawei offers a comprehensive AI educational platform to over 500 primary and secondary schools. This platform is powered by AI computing capabilities, open-source large models, and features more than ten hands-on AI projects alongside over fifty experimental tools and applications. The company aims for one million students to benefit from this transformative educational experience.
At the summit, Huawei also launched a global demonstration project in collaboration with Pui Kiu Middle School, showcasing practical AI applications in secondary education. This initiative not only promotes innovative AI applications in education but also provides scalable and replicable models for digital transformation on a global scale.
The launch of the AIEC solution by Huawei marks a significant milestone in achieving synergy between education and artificial intelligence. Going forward, Huawei plans to continue acting as a technological bridge, fostering an open ecosystem with global partners aimed at empowering every child and shaping a future where educational equity and technological progress go hand in hand.
