LX Pantos Achieves Milestone in Defense Logistics

In a significant achievement for national defense logistics, LX Pantos, led by President & CEO Lee Yong-ho, has successfully finalized a complex project involving the transport of advanced air-to-air missiles (AAMs) from France to South Korea. This milestone was announced on September 8, 2026, marking a major contribution to the Republic of Korea Marine Corps' Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program, overseen by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).

The air-to-air missiles were sourced from a European defense contractor and made their journey from Châteauroux Airport in France to Incheon International Airport aboard a charter flight specifically arranged by LX Pantos. This critical cargo was later transported by road to the Marine Corps unit located in Pohang. The strategic transport aimed at ensuring safety and security involved using a dedicated charter aircraft, which allowed the missiles to be the only cargo onboard. The shipment was classified under Class 1 explosives, Division 1.2, Compatibility Group E, reflecting the gravity of handling such sensitive military materials.

Transporting dangerous goods like defense-related items necessitates meticulous planning and strict adherence to various regulations, including the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations and national aviation safety laws. For this complex operation, LX Pantos was responsible for securing overflight clearances across 14 countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
