From July 15th to July 28th, 2026, the "Tingatinga Art Exhibition 2026 Summer" will be held at Gomeisa GALLERY, located in the Imperial Hotel Plaza, Hibiya. This exceptional exhibition is organized by Art Pool Co., Ltd., a company led by President Masashi Sato. The exhibition aims to showcase the vibrant and contemporary art style known as Tingatinga, which has been gaining recognition across Europe and the world.

Featured Artists and Original Works

At this event, art enthusiasts will have the rare opportunity to admire two original paintings by the late Edward Saidi Tingatinga, the founder of Tingatinga art. His granddaughter, Siwa Tingatinga, alongside talented artists like Maurus Malikita and Akily, will also display approximately 50 of their latest works. Siwa, in particular, carries on her grandfather's legacy through her vibrant imagery inspired by animals and nature, drawing considerable admiration from collectors in Europe and Japan.

Maurus Malikita is another featured artist known for his numerous awards across various art competitions. His artwork captures the warmth and vibrancy of Tanzanian life and traditions, often highlighting the rich narratives found within that culture. Akily, celebrated for his dynamic representations of wildlife, with striking colors and bold compositions, also contributes to this exhibition, capturing the essence of Africa's majestic animals.

One of the highlights of the exhibition will be the live streaming from the Tingatinga workshop in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
