Dainacity Introduces Free Sanitary Napkin Service for Women in Need

Dainacity's Initiative to Provide Free Sanitary Napkins

Dainacity, located in Odawara, Japan, is officially launching a new service called toreluna on November 4, 2025. This initiative, spearheaded by Daido Forward, aims to provide free sanitary napkins in women’s restrooms. The program is managed in collaboration with Next Innovation, which is based in Osaka.

Understanding toreluna
The core philosophy behind toreluna is to ensure that sanitary napkins are as easily accessible as toilet paper in public facilities. By using a smartphone application linked with a dispenser situated in restroom stalls, women can conveniently obtain sanitary napkins at no cost. Upon entering a restroom equipped with toreluna, a digital signage display will showcase videos from toreluna partners, which helps maintain ongoing service.

The Rationale for Implementation
Dainacity prides itself on creating environments where customers can shop joyfully and safely, echoing its motto of “Bringing smiles into everyday life.” With the understanding that menstruation can often be a source of concern for many women, the mall decided to partner with Next Innovation to make sanitary napkins readily available to those in need. By offering this service, Dainacity aims to alleviate the anxiety surrounding menstrual needs during shopping trips.

In total, 25 napkin dispensers will be installed across 12 women’s restrooms in the facility, including those designated for employee use. This ensures that all female patrons, whether shopping or working within the center, can enjoy their time with fewer worries regarding menstrual supplies.
