Tobu Top Tours Co., Ltd., headquartered in Sumida, Tokyo, has officially announced its support for the Future Society Design Organization (FSDi), established this February. This organization aims to construct a sustainable future society through collaboration between industry, government, and academia. The main focus of this support is the 'Future Society Design Contest 2026,' where innovative ideas are solicited for the purpose of revitalizing specific regions.
The contest emphasizes fresh perspectives and encourages participation mainly from students who will help shape the future. Two specific areas have been designated for this initiative:
1.
Shiga Kogen Area, Nagano Prefecture: This area will focus on redefining and increasing the value of a national park. Collaborators include the Ministry of the Environment and several local entities, aiming to create extraordinary events that engage young people.
2.
Tojinbo Area, Fukui Prefecture: This segment will target efforts to attract younger visitors through unique stay-and-tour initiatives. Local government and businesses will collaborate to enhance the area’s economic vitality through innovative tourism programs.
To incentivize participation, remarkable benefits await the top two entrants in each category. These include a complimentary on-site inspection program offering a two-day visit to the respective areas. Participants will have the chance to refine their ideas through direct discussions with facility managers. Moreover, inclusion in the final presentation event at the Tobu Top Tours Innovation Oasis will provide participants with invaluable feedback from judges.
