Inspiring the Future: Local Students Experience Hotel Management



On September 17th and 18th, an innovative career experience program titled DOMINISTA CHALLENGE will be held at Dormy Inn Hirosaki, welcoming students from Tohoku Gakuin Chuo Junior High School. Organized by Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd., which operates the Dormy Inn business hotel chain, this program seeks to ignite the passion for work among young minds and broaden their future career perspectives.

A Deep Dive into Hospitality


The DOMINISTA CHALLENGE is part of a nationwide initiative by Dormy Inn and Kyoritsu Resort aimed at enriching the career education of middle and high school students. Since its inception in 2019, the program has collaborated with over 100 schools, fostering a positive sense of career awareness and prospects for participating youth. The curriculum will utilize specialized texts that delve into the intricacies of the hotel industry and the essence of hospitality, allowing students to engage in activities such as front desk service and room cleaning, providing them a look into the behind-the-scenes efforts of hotel staff.

In today’s world, marked by uncertainties in both social and economic spheres, understanding the significance of work and its rewards has never been more critical for adolescents. Additionally, with local communities facing declining populations, cultivating a sense of belonging and the ability to address regional issues is urgent. Through the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE, Kyoritsu Maintenance aims to provide children with opportunities to experience compassion and joy in work. In a globally interconnected world, interacting with diverse individuals at their local hotels will teach them valuable lessons about collaboration, enriching their understanding of their career paths and their love for their communities.

- September 17:
- Morning: Classes on hotel basics, facility tours, and check-in experiences.
- Afternoon: Room and large bath inspections and reflections.
- September 18:
- Morning: Taste-testing breakfast, room, and bath cleaning practices.
- Afternoon: Final inspections and feedback discussions.
