Ishikawa Prefecture Launches Third Campaign for Noto Tourism Boost

Promoting Noto Tourism with the e-Machi Platform®

Ishikawa Prefecture is excited to announce the implementation of its third tourism campaign aimed at revitalizing the Noto region, using the innovative 'e-Machi Platform®' provided by Giftee. The campaign, titled 'Ima Ikeru Noto' (Now You Can Go to Noto), is centered on incentivizing group travel to the beautiful Noto area, starting from March 1, 2026, and continuing until July 31, 2026.

Campaign Overview

This campaign specifically targets groups consisting of eight or more people, encouraging travel agencies to design and promote tours across twelve cities in Noto, including Suzu City, Wajima City, and Noto Town, among others. As part of this initiative, Ishikawa Prefecture will subsidize travel costs, providing up to 60,000 yen per day for transportation using buses or jumbo taxis. Additionally, for those staying outside Kanazawa City, a further 30,000 yen will be added to the subsidy.

Participants in the campaign will also receive electronic shopping coupons, known as 'Buying Coupons,' valued at up to 4,000 yen per person per day. These coupons can be used at approximately 270 affiliated establishments, including tourist attractions, accommodations, souvenir shops, and restaurants throughout the Noto region.

The Role of the e-Machi Platform®

The 'e-Machi Platform®' is a digital infrastructure developed by Giftee, specifically designed to tackle local challenges faced by municipalities and regions. In this campaign, it serves as the operational backbone for issuing and managing the electronic shopping coupons. Participants will access their coupons by scanning a QR code provided on a voucher given to them by the travel agency. After answering a short survey, they will receive their digital shopping coupon.

Benefits for Travelers and Local Businesses

This innovative approach not only simplifies the process of redeeming coupons for travelers but also streamlines operations for participating businesses. By employing a QR code system, stores only need to display the code for customers to scan, thereby facilitating quick and efficient transactions. The platform ensures that the funds used via these coupons are securely accounted for, preventing any misuse.

Beyond simplifying transactions, the campaign also aims to boost the local economy by promoting increased tourist spending and encouraging visitors to explore the rich offerings of Noto. The region is famous for its delicious seafood, traditional crafts like Wajima lacquerware, and cultural festivals. It offers a diverse experience, from experiencing the rugged beauty of the coastline to enjoying serene rural landscapes, all while savoring local delicacies.

Future Prospects

As the initiative rolls out, Giftee remains committed to enhancing the utilization of the 'e-Machi Platform®' as a strategy for economic revitalization across Japan. The company believes in connecting people and communities through its services, fostering sustainable development and unique local experiences.

The 'Ima Ikeru Noto' campaign follows two previous successful initiatives, including the Ishikawa Travel Discount Campaign 2023 and the Oku-Noto Support Travel Discount Campaign. With a focus on attracting travelers back to the Noto Peninsula, these efforts are crucial in the wake of the challenges posed by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

Final Remarks

Ultimately, the 'Ima Ikeru Noto' Group Travel Support Campaign not only represents a fantastic opportunity for travelers but also symbolizes a step forward in regional recovery and promotion strategies.
