UfiSpace Unveils Its 1.6T AI-Optimized Networking Portfolio at MWC Barcelona 2026
On March 2, 2026, UfiSpace, a leading provider of open networking solutions, made headlines with the launch of its revolutionary 1.6T networking portfolio optimized for artificial intelligence at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. This launch, held in Hall 5 at booth 5A61, targets the increasing demands of scalability, performance, and security for large-scale AI deployments.
Addressing Industry Needs
As the infrastructure for AI transitions towards hyperscale architectures, traditional proprietary network designs often hinder growth and inflate costs. UfiSpace’s open network model allows for capacity expansion aligned with the workload demands of AI, providing operators with the flexibility to optimize their investments and architectural configurations.
The new portfolio includes the
S9331-64HO, which acts as a state-of-the-art AI structure switch, and the
S9630-32HO, a secure aggregation platform that collectively enhance networking capabilities for AI applications.
High-Performance AI Fabric
The S9331-64HO switch is designed to fulfill the backend structure requirements essential for AI functionalities. Leveraging the Broadcom® Tomahawk 6 chipset, it offers an impressive switching capacity of 102.4 Tbps, capable of supporting dense GPU clusters. With advanced traffic management features, including adaptive routing and congestion control, this system significantly shortens job completion times and boosts computational efficiency, thus accelerating AI training cycles.
In tandem, the S9630-32HO extends the AI structure to the transport layer. Powered by the Broadcom® Qumran 4D chipset, it provides inline MACsec and IPsec encryption, ensuring secure aggregation without sacrificing performance. This platform accommodates transmission distances of up to 400 kilometers with OpenZR+ optics, meeting interconnectivity requirements for data center interconnections (DCI) in distributed AI infrastructures.
Sustainability and Future-proofing
While offering unprecedented bandwidth and performance, the 1.6T networking platforms pose significant challenges regarding thermal management and power consumption. UfiSpace addresses these challenges through AI-compatible networking solutions presented at MWC Barcelona, focusing on high-density network deployments. The company also plans to showcase advanced liquid cooling solutions at the upcoming Optical Fiber Communications (OFC) event in Los Angeles from March 17 to 19, 2026. These innovations are dedicated to improving Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and meeting thermal demands of next-generation 1.6T optical network interfaces.
