Overview of the 137th Canton Fair
The 137th China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the Canton Fair, is poised to be one of the largest trade events on the global stage. Scheduled to take place from April 15 to May 5, 2025, in Guangzhou, China, this year's Fair promises record participation with
approximately 31,000 exhibitors set to showcase their offerings across an expansive
1.55 million square meters of exhibition space.
Key Highlights
During a recent press briefing held by China's Ministry of Commerce, exciting details were unveiled for this year’s Fair. Notably, over
74,000 booths will be featured, alongside more than
30,000 exhibitors participating in National Pavilion displays, marking an increase of nearly 900 from the last session.

New Additions and Innovations
The event will host
55 exhibition sections and
172 product zones, which include a
dedicated service robot zone unveiling diverse robotic solutions for various uses—personal, domestic, and professional. Furthermore, integrated housing displays will be introduced as part of the Fair’s effort to respond to modern living demands.
Participation quality has also been significantly enhanced this year, with over
4,200 new exhibitors joining the ranks. The Fair will witness more than
9,700 companies with national accolades, such as specialized small and medium enterprises, manufacturing champions, and high-tech enterprises, witnessing a
20% increase compared to the last session. Among these, nearly
3,700 companies will focus on emerging sectors such as new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, and digital technology. Additionally, over
17,000 exhibitors will showcase their unique brands, and approximately
22,000 companies will present their international certifications.
Enhanced Engagement Through Technology
An essential aspect of this year’s Fair is the upgraded
Canton Fair App, which has seen widespread downloads since its inception. The app now features tailored versions for buyers and suppliers, promoting improved functionality and user experience. The online platform has received service enhancements, and the trade matchmaking system has been restructured to promote better efficiency and accuracy.
Throughout the duration of the Fair, over
