Jeptha Creed Distillery Unveils Fourth Edition of Red, White & Blue Bourbon
Jeptha Creed Distillery, a craft distillery located in Shelbyville, Kentucky and operated by the talented mother-daughter duo Joyce and Autumn Nethery, has exciting news for bourbon enthusiasts. As Veterans Day approaches, they are set to release the fourth batch of their special edition Red, White & Blue Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This annual release not only commemorates the opening anniversary of the distillery in 2016 but also serves a noble cause. Each year, a portion of the proceeds from this bourbon goes towards supporting veterans through the non-profit organization Paws of War.
The new Red, White & Blue bourbon will be available for purchase starting November 8th, which coincidentally aligns with Veterans Day. This vibrant orange-brown amber whiskey features an alluring nose, exhibiting fragrances of red berry fruits, bread pudding, nutmeg, and clove. The tasting experience is quite rich and buttery with impressive layers of caramel, toasted nuts, dried fruit, toffee, and a hint of cinnamon. It concludes with a delightful, lingering finish of dried fruit, sweet oak, and warm baking spices.
Joyce Nethery, Master Distiller and CEO of Jeptha Creed Distillery, expressed her excitement regarding the release, saying, "We’re thrilled to unveil our fourth edition of Red, White & Blue Bourbon. Our collaboration with Paws of War further strengthens our dedication to honoring veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom, while simultaneously celebrating the traditions that our family and distillery hold dear."
Jeptha Creed is known for its commitment to community and animal welfare, as illustrated by their heartwarming story of adopting four cats that were found during construction. These cats have become invaluable team members, garnering affection from visitors and distillers alike, boosting the distillery’s charm and social media presence.
Paws of War plays a vital role in alleviating the suffering of veterans, first responders, and their families, particularly those facing the invisible wounds of service, like PTSD. The organization is committed to providing loyal service dogs, which are known to be crucial companions and catalysts for healing. Paws of War also undertakes an admirable mission of rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats, ensuring they find deserving homes, often reuniting them with the very service members they bonded with during their service.
Robert Misseri, co-founder of Paws of War, emphasized the significant impact of pets for many veterans suffering from addiction, mental health issues, and homelessness. He noted, "Our furry friends frequently play an essential role in providing the comfort and support that helps alleviate PTSD symptoms. We are extremely grateful for Jeptha Creed Distillery’s support in advancing our mission to assist veterans in overcoming their challenges while ensuring their beloved pets remain by their side."
To celebrate the launch, Jeptha Creed Distillery will host a special Veterans Day tribute featuring a color guard ceremony, guest speakers, bottle signings, light appetizers, and more on the day of the bourbon release, November 8th. Those interested can find more details about the event on the
distillery's official website.
