Explore Sungrow's Latest C&I Solutions at Intersolar Europe 2025
Sungrow, a global leader in renewable energy technologies, showcased its latest commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage solutions at Intersolar Europe 2025. The highlight of the event was the innovative
liquid-cooled ESS PowerStack 255CS and the versatile
hybrid inverter SH125CX. These products are designed to meet the evolving energy needs of businesses, offering exceptional flexibility, efficiency, and peak performance on a global scale.
Transforming Energy Solutions for C&I Applications
With the rapid shift in global energy policies, the demand for efficient energy storage solutions is increasing. Experts predict that the installed capacity for CI energy storage will surge to
46 GWh by 2028. This trend is prompting businesses worldwide to adopt C&I energy storage systems. Companies aim to cut energy costs, ensure reliable power supply, and integrate renewable energy sources seamlessly. However, transitioning to green energy brings challenges, including unstable power supplies and pressures on the grid from rising electric vehicle (EV) charging demands.
Introducing the PowerStack 255CS
At Intersolar Europe, Sungrow proudly presented the
PowerStack 255CS, a cornerstone of their C&I solutions. This advanced liquid-cooled ESS incorporates 314Ah battery cells, delivering flexible power capacities of either
257 kWh for a two-hour system or
514 kWh for a four-hour system. It boasts an impressive round-trip efficiency of over
90% and a lifespan designed for
20 years. Furthermore, the PowerStack is fully integrated with Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Battery Management Systems (BMS), while meeting strict global safety standards such as
UL9540 and
NFPA855/69/68/14. This makes the system ideal for various applications, including stand-alone ESS, PV systems combined with ESS, EV chargers coupled with ESS, and microgrids.
The Versatile SH125CX Hybrid Inverter
Another key innovation introduced at the show was the
SH125CX hybrid inverter, which delivers a nominal output power of
125 kW. This inverter can be paired with the PowerStack 255CS for a robust DC-coupled solution, making it perfect for medium to large CI applications. Key features of the SH125CX include:
- - Flexible Design: Capable of working with all market modules, it features a maximum current per Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) of 40A, and it can achieve DC-AC ratios of up to 2.0, aligning with the demands of the European market.
- - Scalability: Supports up to 24 units in parallel, facilitating a maximum AC output of 3 MW and 6 MWh of energy storage capacity.
- - Retrofit Capabilities: The SH125CX allows for easy retrofitting, enabling businesses to upgrade their PV inverters to hybrid inverters effortlessly, instantly transforming into a power storage hub.
- - Robust Adaptation: The inverter is designed for tough environmental conditions, featuring an IP66 rating and a C5 anti-corrosion build. It incorporates an Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter 3.0 (AFCI 3.0) to detect DC-side arc faults over cable distances of up to 450 meters, maximizing safety measures.
