Wilmington Trust, a prominent player in corporate and institutional trust services, has announced the strategic hiring of six new executives for its Public Finance team across the United States. This move is aimed at enhancing the firm’s presence in a vital sector that involves managing complex financial transactions and providing exceptional service to its clients.

The new team members will be instrumental in working closely with Public Finance clients across the country. Their collective expertise aims to deliver consistent and efficient client service across various transaction types while strengthening Wilmington Trust’s overall capabilities.

Wilmington Trust’s Public Finance division specializes in a diverse range of areas, such as Healthcare, Multi-family Housing, Higher Education, Charter Schools, Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE), and Tax-Exempt Conduit Financing. The firm possesses plentiful experience with an array of issuances, including Private Activity Bonds, Conduit Financing, General Obligation Bonds, Revenue Bonds, and Custody Receipts. This deep expertise will be crucial as the new hires integrate into the firm’s operations.

Meet the New Executive Team



1. Elijah DeSolace joins as a Client Administrator in Costa Mesa, California. This is a return for Elijah, who previously spent four years with Wilmington Trust. He has specialized experience in public finance and deal structures impacting municipalities and charter schools. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business accounting from California State University-Fullerton.

2. Julia Hommel has taken on the role of Vice President and Relationship Manager, also based in Costa Mesa. With over 30 years of Corporate Trust experience, she previously managed a hefty portfolio at US Bank involving various municipal trust accounts. Julia earned her degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

3. Adriana Marshall serves as a Vice President and Relationship Manager in Costa Mesa, focusing on institutional clients. With over three decades in corporate trust and public finance, she brings a wealth of knowledge from her previous roles at US Bank and BNY. Adriana is known for her outstanding problem-solving skills and client service dedication.

4. Hong Nguyen-Dao, a Client Administrator based in Costa Mesa, oversees complex municipal bond finance accounts. With over 21 years at US Bank Corporate Trust, Hong has received multiple accolades for her excellence in corporate trust services.

5. Ben Saarion is tasked with managing client relationships in Minneapolis. He has worked in financial services for 15 years, previously serving on the Municipal/Public Finance team at US Bank. He obtained his business degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

6. Jason Stephens now holds the position of Vice President and Relationship Manager in Dallas. He has over 18 years of experience in financial services, focusing on public finance and fiduciary services. Jason earned his JD from Southern Methodist University Law School.
