Utah Schools Embrace Technology Transformation in 2026 Report
In a recent release, the Connected Nation (CN) in collaboration with the Utah Education Network (UEN) presented findings from the sixth Utah School Technology Inventory. This comprehensive statewide report draws critical insights into technology use, growth, and the current landscape of educational practices within Utah’s K-12 schools.
Remarkably, the inventory has achieved an impressive 100% participation rate from local education agencies (LEAs) and charter schools for the sixth consecutive year. Since 2015, CN and UEN have worked together to assess the integration of technology in education, specifically focusing on the availability of digital resources and devices needed by both teachers and students.
According to Max Gonzales, Project Manager at UEN, this data allows educational leaders to understand technological advancements and identify challenges, especially concerning artificial intelligence (AI). Gonzales emphasized, “For more than a decade, this inventory has provided Utah education leaders with the data they need to make informed, forward-looking technology decisions.
