Marshall Amplifies Local Music Scene in Seoul with KEEP LIVE MUSIC ALIVE Initiative

On October 11, 2026, Marshall held a vibrant music event titled "LIVE FROM YEONNAM: HYUKOH" at Channel 1969 and the adjacent Dongjin Market parking area in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul. This event was part of Marshall's global campaign, KEEP LIVE MUSIC ALIVE (KLMA), aiming to support grassroots music venues and local creatives. The day unfolded with exhilarating live performances, a community block party, and a unique music flea market, blending the arts with local culture.

The initiative drew an impressive peak attendance of approximately 1,350 participants, showcasing the allure of live music and its capacity to unite diverse audiences. Among the performers were the renowned band HYUKOH alongside other local talents such as OYSTERS, SAILORHONEYMOON, and Tiger Disco, who graced the stage at Channel 1969. The lively atmosphere extended beyond the venue, with performances streamed to the outdoor space of Dongjin Market, allowing attendees to savor the music both inside and outside.

As the sun set, the evening saw increased foot traffic, particularly at Dongjin Market, where the atmosphere became electric, peaking between 8 PM and 9 PM. This unique experience not only highlighted the significance of live music in fostering community spirit but also illustrated how these experiences can extend their reach beyond traditional concert settings. Moreover, this event marked the debut activation of Marshall's MADE OF LOUD brand philosophy in Korea, a philosophy emphasizing the brand's longstanding connection to live music and the people behind it.

Issei Iimura, the Head of Marketing for Korea at Marshall, expressed the company’s enduring commitment to the music culture, stating, “Marshall has stood alongside artists, music venues, and music lovers for more than 60 years. Guided by the philosophy of MADE OF LOUD, we will continue to spotlight and support the people and places where live music begins and grows.” This sentiment resonates deeply within the broader music community, enhancing Marshall's role from just being an audio equipment manufacturer to a pivotal player in the cultural sphere of live music.

Looking ahead, Marshall plans to broaden its LIVE FROM series, featuring multiple locations and various music genres while reinforcing its collaboration with grassroots venues and artists across Korea. This initiative marks a significant step in promoting local music culture and ensuring that live music continues to thrive amid changes in the entertainment landscape.

As part of Marshall's commitment to the grassroots music scene, the company also operates Marshall Amplify, an initiative that pledges to allocate 1% of member purchases made on its website to support grassroots venues. This reinforces the company's dedication to nurturing the foundational elements of local music scenes around the globe.

With the successful conclusion of "LIVE FROM YEONNAM: HYUKOH," Marshall not only celebrated current local talent but also fostered a future where live music can flourish in communities, uniting people through shared experiences and unforgettable performances. The success of this event is a testament to the resilience and importance of live music culture, ensuring it remains an integral part of Seoul's rich artistic landscape.
