T Bros Oil & Gas Co. Unveils a State-of-the-Art Renewable Diesel Depot

T Bros Oil & Gas Co. recently announced the grand opening of its cutting-edge bulk renewable diesel depot in Barstow, California, set to take place in the Summer of 2025. This innovative facility signifies a monumental leap toward fostering sustainable logistics while simultaneously boosting economic growth in the vital Southern California transportation corridor. The depot is set to enhance Barstow's crucial role in the region's ever-evolving supply chain, paving the way for increased clean energy initiatives and infrastructural improvements.

A Strategically Placed Facility

The depot's location at 2957 Lenwood Road places it in close proximity to the transformative Barstow International Gateway (BIG) project. Valued at $1.5 billion, the BIG project envisions the establishment of a sprawling 4,800-acre rail yard, intermodal facility, and logistics park, scheduled for construction to commence in late 2026. This ambitious project is anticipated to create approximately 20,000 direct and indirect jobs across various sectors, including rail operations, logistics, and supporting industries. By launching its depot ahead of the BIG project, T Bros Oil & Gas aims to address the impending surge in clean fuel demand that will be catalyzed by such development.

This facility's location near Interstate 15 and Highway 58 provides seamless access, aligning well with Barstow's 2048 Growth Plan, which emphasizes industrial development in this critical corridor. The depot aims to enhance the existing infrastructure, instrumental in fuel distribution via the Kinder Morgan CALNEV pipeline, further solidifying Barstow's status as a vital player in the region's supply chain network.

Innovative Infrastructure for Bulk Distribution

Tailored for high-volume wholesale distribution, the depot will initially deliver conventional Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) through the Kinder Morgan pipeline starting in the summer of 2025. Equipped with advanced systems designed for efficient rack loading, precise fuel blending, secure storage, and high-capacity throughput, the facility will start with two loading racks, with plans to expand to six by the end of the year.

The modern infrastructure adheres to stringent safety and environmental standards, ensuring minimal downtime for trucking fleets while aligning with industry best practices for automated fuel terminals. This approach guarantees rapid turnaround times and a reliable fuel supply—critical components in the logistics sector's operational framework.
