International Sourcing Conference at Linyi Trade City Attracts Global Buyers

Linyi Trade City Hosts Global Sourcing Conference

The upcoming International Sourcing Conference at Linyi Trade City is gearing up to be a significant event, drawing over 2,000 international purchasers from various corners of the globe. This marks the fourth iteration of the conference, scheduled from October 28 to October 30. The initiative reflects Linyi's aim to bolster its role in global trade, showcasing the city's expansive selection of building materials, hardware, and home supplies.

A Glimpse into the Conference

Arab merchant Ala was among the first to explore the offerings at the newly inaugurated International Sourcing Center. After just half a day's visit, he expressed surprise at the vast array of reasonably priced goods available. The center, which has just launched prior to this event, collects the offerings of more than 324 foreign trade enterprises and 698 corporate stores under one roof. The goal is to streamline the purchasing process for international buyers, allowing them to experience a one-stop shop for all their sourcing needs.

Local Manufacturing Meets Global Demand

Linyi City, renowned as the logistics capital of China, benefits from a remarkable alignment of its 136 professional wholesale markets and 63,700 stores. The city’s unique position facilitates transactions involving over 6 million types of commodities across 27 categories. This successful logistics framework ensures quick turnover of products, fostering a conducive environment for foreign trade.

Connecting Buyers with Producers

Each store within the center typically maintains close links with over ten upstream factories. This efficient arrangement not only enhances the supply chain but also encourages collaboration between local manufacturers and international clients. As a result, this connection establishes a large-scale and standardized supply chain critical for foreign purchasers.

Logistics and Technology: The Perfect Blend

The logistics infrastructure in Linyi is robust, boasting convenient routes that support efficient distribution throughout China and to international markets. The introduction of China-Europe freight train services and various overseas warehouses has made it a preferred choice for both domestic and international entrepreneurs looking for cost-effective logistics solutions.

Digitization and Trade Performance

Linyi's commitment to supporting its burgeoning foreign trade is also evident through its strategic use of technology. The ChinaMarket digital trade platform has already seen registration from 28,000 corporate clients, generating significant export volumes. In the first half of this year alone, this platform’s activity resulted in an impressive export volume of 18.13 billion yuan.

Building a Global Commodity Distribution Hub

Regular promotional activities are now part of Linyi's strategy, as the city aspires to establish itself as a globally recognized commodity distribution center. Moreover, the ChinaMarket aims to transform into a shared marketplace, accommodating all players in the international trade landscape.

With this upcoming event, Linyi Trade City is set to demonstrate its capability in hosting impactful trade activities, aligning local products with global demand, and shaping a robust international trade environment.
