ChangAn Automobile Unveils Ambitious 2030 Vision at Chongqing Conference

Recently, ChangAn Automobile, a leader in low-emission and intelligent mobility technologies, held a significant conference for international partners in Chongqing. The event, themed "Vast Ocean Plan: United Towards Success," attracted over 500 entrepreneurs from more than 70 countries. The gathering aimed to celebrate the company's achievements while sharing extensive plans for the future.

During the conference, ChangAn showcased its comprehensive "Vision 2030," which includes a commitment to invest over $10 billion globally. The company aims to achieve global sales of 5 million vehicles by 2030, with aspirations to rank among the world’s ten largest automotive brands. This ambitious goal embodies ChangAn's transformation into a recognized global entity in the automotive industry.

In his speech, Zhu Huarong, the President of ChangAn, highlighted the company's substantial progress over the past five years in cultivating new sources of power, intelligent solutions, and its international presence. ChangAn reported a remarkable 34.2% increase in global sales, reaching 2.684 million vehicles in 2024, with new energy vehicles accounting for 735,000 of these sales. Approximately 536,000 units were sold abroad, underscoring the company’s successful international strategy.

"From exporting products to globalizing our brand, we are strengthening our position in the market with a dual strategy focused on long-term growth and local operations," stated Zhu. Over the next five years, ChangAn plans to concentrate its efforts on five key overseas markets, expanding local production capacities, brand development, and customer service.

As a testament to its growth, ChangAn's international sales ranked among the top three in China's automotive exports in 2024, achieving revenues exceeding $11 billion. The company has expanded its operations to 20 new countries and now serves over 100 markets worldwide, boasting 1,150 sales channels. Notably, their vehicle series, including CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR, have gained international recognition, propelling the company into the ranks of the "World's 50 Most Important Chinese Brands" according to the BrandZ ranking.

At the conference, Executive Vice President Li Mingcai underscored ChangAn's significant international achievements, such as the establishment of its first international factory for new energy vehicles in Thailand. The company has collaborated with eight overseas production partners, achieving a total production capacity of 580,000 vehicles annually.

Looking ahead to 2025, ChangAn's dual-pronged development plan envisions launching 20 new vehicle models onto the international market, including both fossil fuel and alternative energy vehicles. Vice President Wang Xiaofei emphasized that technological innovation remains central to ChangAn's global strategy, with over 114.8 billion yuan invested in research and development. The company has built a skilled international team of 18,000 workers, including 5,000 specialists in software and artificial intelligence.

ChangAn's strategy also features a cohesive international brand structure incorporating its core vehicle brands. By implementing the "1+N" strategy, the company aims to execute one global marketing strategy while implementing local campaigns. Among the upcoming models is the CS75PLUS, DEEPAL S05, AVATR 07, and CHANG-AN Q07, preparing to make a global impact.

Looking to the future, ChangAn is committed to furthering its competitive advantage and enhancing quality. The company plans to leverage its strengths and pioneering technologies to expand its international footprint and reinforce its global standing. As it faces the challenges of an evolving automotive landscape, ChangAn remains dedicated to achieving its vision of becoming a premier global automotive brand.
