Americas Cardroom Launches Mystery PKO Events This Halloween

Americas Cardroom is gearing up for a spooky twist this Halloween with the unveiling of its highly anticipated Mystery PKO (Progressive Knockout) tournaments. This event promises not only thrilling gameplay but also an impressive combined prize pool of $650,000, drawing poker enthusiasts from all corners of the globe.

Starting on Sunday, October 18, the Halloween Special features three distinct tournaments catering to various player buy-ins. The centerpiece of the series is a $500,000 guaranteed event with an entry fee of $109, complemented by a $100,000 guaranteed tournament at just $33 and a more accessible $50,000 guaranteed event priced at $5.50. This allows players of all budgets to participate in the high-stakes action.

Unique Mystery PKO Format

The Mystery PKO format is a fresh addition that combines the excitement of hidden mystery bounties with traditional progressive bounties. As players advance through the tournament, each knockout reveals a mystery bounty prize, presenting an added element of surprise and strategy.

During the Day 2 bounty phase, for instance, an eligible knockout reveals a mystery prize, with 50% of the bounty immediately awarded to the player who made the elimination. The other half is added to the player's own Progressive Bounty, increasing their potential winnings.

Consider a scenario where a player eliminates an opponent who had a combined bounty of $140, consisting of a $100 mystery prize and a $40 progressive bounty. The eliminator would receive $70 immediately and also increase their bounty by $70, creating ongoing opportunities for further prizes in the tournament.

In this format, players are encouraged to enter multiple starting flights and stack their chips for a stronger position in Day 2, where they start fresh without any accumulated Progressive Bounty from Day 1 knockout eliminations. All eyes will be on how the mystery bounties unfold during gameplay!
