Georgia Power Strengthens Commitment to Georgia State Parks

This Saturday, September 26, marks 'Your State Parks Day', a significant event organized annually by Friends of Georgia, during which volunteers come together to clean, beautify, and maintain the state parks. This year, Georgia Power employees are expected to participate en masse, assisting in various projects that honor National Public Lands Day. As part of this initiative, Georgia Power has made a substantial donation of $10,000 to support the 'Georgia in Color' campaign. This program aims to provide EnChroma color accessibility glasses for free use at all Georgia State Parks. The ongoing efforts follow a generous donation of $25,000 by Georgia Power in 2025 to help develop this program. The utility has previously engaged with other initiatives, such as collaborating with the Aimee Copeland Foundation to introduce all-terrain Trackchairs for the use of those with mobility challenges at various state parks.
