Upcoming Health Seminar at Nagaokakyo Hospital

Nagaokakyo Hospital, in partnership with Central Medience Co., is excited to announce the hosting of a health-focused seminar on December 22, 2025. Titled “Building Health through Exercise with Rehabilitation Professionals”, this event is designed to cater to the growing need for education on health and exercise, especially as our society faces an aging population and the importance of extending healthy life spans.

Since June 2023, the hospital has regularly held seminars with great success, offering the local community expert knowledge on important health practices. This will be the 16th seminar in the series, and the third dedicated to the rehabilitation promotion of health through exercise.

Featured Speaker

The seminar will feature Tomoya Kaneko, the Head of the Rehabilitation Department and a certified physiotherapist, who will discuss essential stretching techniques to enhance mobility and promote healthy walking. Participants can expect an engaging presentation followed by practical exercises, including the “Otokuni Bamboo Shoot Pulling Exercise”, designed to support healthier living through active participation.

Additionally, a nutrition consultation will be held by registered dietitians on the same day. Recognizing the vital connection between nutrition and physical health, the consultations will provide attendees an opportunity to learn about balanced diets and effective nutritional strategies. Interested participants are encouraged to pre-register for the consultation to secure their spot.
