Securitas AB Reports Mixed Interim Results for Q3 2026

In its latest interim report covering the third quarter of 2026, Securitas AB announced total sales of MSEK 38,566, showing a slight increase from the previous quarter's MSEK 38,521. The company's organic sales growth remained flat at 0 percent, which contrasts with the previous year's growth of 3 percent. Adjusting for the shutdown of its Government Security Services (SCIS) business, Securitas reported a 3 percent increase in adjusted organic sales growth, indicating some underlying strength despite challenging market conditions.

The company noted a robust performance in the Technology and Guarding divisions within North America, with real sales growth in technology and solutions rising to 6 percent. This success reflects a broader commercial momentum, particularly in the global technology sector, bolstered by a record order intake in North America and Ibero-America. As a result of this trend, the share of revenue from technology solutions climbed to 35 percent, up from 33 percent in the previous year, demonstrating effective execution of Securitas' strategic priorities.

However, the airline industry posed challenges, leading to lower sales activity in the airport security sector that negatively impacted the overall organic sales growth in Europe. The CEO, Magnus Ahlqvist, remarked on the cautious demand trends noted in certain markets, resulting in selective purchasing behavior and extended decision-making processes. Despite these hurdles, operational performance in North America was strong enough to sustain satisfactory operating margins across the organization.

The operating margin reported was 8.2 percent, slightly down from 8.3 percent last year, with a corresponding operating income of MSEK 3,161. Although the margins in Europe and Ibero-America fell short of strong prior-year figures, Securitas managed to keep its operating income consistent year-over-year.

The earnings per share surged by approximately 6 percent compared to the previous year, reaching SEK 9.36. Cash generation was noted as robust, with the company achieving 82 percent of operating income for the quarter. For the year-to-date, cash generation reflected 71 percent, positioning Securitas to meet its full-year cash flow target of 80 to 90 percent of operating income.

Looking ahead, Securitas plans to finalize the exit from its remaining contracts within the SCIS government business by the end of October, a significant step in their strategic restructuring. Ahlqvist expressed optimism regarding the company's long-term vision to transform security services through intelligence-driven solutions, which leverages data analytics and AI.

Securitas is also committed to its updated financial targets, aimed at achieving an average earnings growth of 10 percent per share over the business cycle while maintaining operational cash flows ranging from 80 to 90 percent. With disciplined execution and innovation at its core, the company aims to drive sustainable earnings growth and enhance shareholder value moving into the future.

As part of their commitment to transparency, Securitas will hold a telephone conference to discuss these results, allowing analysts and journalists to engage directly with executive leadership. This proactive communication strategy underlines Securitas' commitment to its stakeholders as it navigates through dynamic market conditions.

With approximately 322,000 employees deployed across 44 markets, Securitas remains dedicated to its mission of providing high-quality security solutions, adapting to evolving threats and priorities within the security landscape. Their focus on integrating technology into security solutions showcases their ambition to redefine industry standards, leveraging comprehensive intelligence to meet the needs of their diverse clientele.

As we analyze these results, it becomes clear that Securitas AB is strategically positioned to address both current and future challenges within the security sector, paving the way for sustained growth and innovation as they advance in their intelligence-led security journey.
