Recently, Kenko Mayonnaise Co., Ltd., headquartered in Suginami, Tokyo, participated in the "2025 Autumn/Winter Hit Product Presentation" held at the Muromachi Mitsui Hall & Conference on September 18th. At this event, Kenko Mayonnaise introduced its new product, the "Potato Salad Made by Salad Professionals," which has seen impressive sales growth through its official online store following media coverage last year. Around 150 media representatives were present to learn about the qualities of this potato salad, which is a flagship product of the company, through presentations and booth displays.
About the Potato Salad
The "Potato Salad Made by Salad Professionals" series, affectionately known as "Sarapro," offers small-size salads packaged in bags containing 70 to 110 grams. As of October 2025, the lineup includes five varieties, all designed based on the concept of making professional flavors easy to enjoy at home. This initiative caters to the increasing number of dual-income households and individuals living alone, providing convenient portions with a shelf life of 60 days (unopened in refrigeration).
The potato salad is made from locally sourced "Sayaka" potatoes grown in Hokkaido, known for their rich flavor and fluffy texture, making them ideal for salads.
Presentation Highlights
The event kicked off with a two-minute product introduction video, followed by an engaging Q&A presentation led by employees from Kenko's Business Development Headquarters. The video showcased the production process of the "Potato Salad Made by Salad Professionals," emphasizing that these products are made from raw potatoes to finished salad in just four hours at their plant in Western Japan.
Following the video and presentation, attendees were encouraged to sample the potato salad at the booth. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with comments praising the distinct potato flavor and the homemade quality of the dish.
